Not About Beauty (Religion, Politics and other failures) is series of drawings in progress that considerate the concept of beauty and its multiple interpretations and the relativity of its meanings. Day to day images such as skulls, cartoon characters, religious icons, among other objects and actions are present in an ambiguous context but with a hint of irony so its interpretations can be as many as people looking at them.
This show is complemented with a mural wall piece composed by multiple 4”x6” works produced by the members of Pretty/Much Collective which is a group of artists from Puerto Rico, Alabama, New York and Florida. This collective was founded by Juan A. Negroni (Puerto Rico) in collaboration with Jess Marie Walker (Alabama).
